I am now and have been a Star Trek fan since I was a kid. I have several seasons downloaded to my iPod.

I recently adopted Merlin (6 month old tuxedo kitten) from the Orange County, VA Humane Society. He's sitting right next to my laptop as I type - He's likes to help me type. I don't understand why kittens seem to like to help me type, but they just do.

That Majel Roddenberry identified Precious Paws for memorial gifts is AWESOME. The Rodenberry's work in many ways has brought to a generation an appreciation of things that make us different. Instead of disliking differences among us - they let an entire generation appreciate them

My new kitten is my new best friend. I really like that Majel Roddenberry, her family, and friends thought to benefit some of our four-legged friends in her memory.

We have lost something precious. In that loss - there will be those who gain something precious - a new pet who needs them as much as they need their new buddy.
