7 months later...

I still find myself mourning the loss of Majel. I was looking at the pic she autographed to me, even addressed it to me, this morning and it just doesn't feel the same.

I never met her, but I knew as long as she was alive, I had a chance to meet the woman I had only known on screen for 42 years. The other day, someone I know via the net, email, and her writings, said "When we meet..." I told her you mean "IF we meet..." and added I have found those I wish to meet something happens in which we do not- such as death- and it never happens. When I wrote that, I was thinking of Majel.

Majel and Gene were like mentors to me and now that Majel is gone, it still hurts after 7 months. I have watched Star Trek, but not one in which she was in it, yet, except as the computer voice. Not even Trek feels the same. sigh. I will always be a fan of hers and adore her, even though she is gone now. As Lwaxana, regardless if that was Majel or not (supposedly it was 98% her), she was the mother I only wished I had.

Hey! Its your 'cous'. I too still am having a hard time with the loss of Mrs. Roddenberry.

As I believe that I told you, that my meeting with Mrs. Roddenberry was not a smooth or good one, plus a former assistant did a great job via a letter that put a huge wedge between me and her.

I always thought that IF I had shown up at a con, Mrs. Roddenberry would have me removed. What I forgot was that I sent a letter to her new assistant and when the assistant passed on to Mrs. Roddenberry what had occurred, Mrs. Roddenberry was sorry for what had happend. I had completely forgotten that Mrs. Roddenberry had said that to me through her new assistant. I discovered the letters (including the one with the sorry note) when I was up in Sumner,WA waiting for a load and I had a chance to go through some of my "Star Trek" stuff.

I think constantly about what I wish could have been different. I still cry because of the regrets. I am glad that in my mind, my memories, that she will always be beautiful and healthy. This is what I am grateful for with the videos.

Be also comforted that when we cross over and become new celestial beings, she and Mr. Roddenberry will be there to hopefully greet us and the big bounus...........we will be able to meet with them for all eternity.

I'm very glad it worked out before she died. From all the stories about Majel, I'm sure she was a wonderful woman.

yes i feel the same way. i recently purchased TNG and have been enjoying watching Lwaxana and hearing computer voice.

it gives me comfort to know Lwaxana will be with us always.
